Venerable Bishop Bacciarini was born in Switzerland to a poor family, he became a little shepherd as early as seven years old. He grew up learning to love God, nature and the poor. In the seminary his spirituality grew even faster. After ordination and while teaching in the seminary he became acquainted with Fr. Guanella and his charism. Fr. Aurelio joined Fr. Guanella and became the first Pastor of the Basilica of St. Joseph at Trionfale, where the Pious Union of St. Joseph, patron of the suffering and dying, was born. After the death of Fr. Guanella, Fr. Bacciarini became the superior and was later appointed Bishop of Lugano, Switzerland. The legacy of Bishop Bacciarini is love.
